The Volunteer Cadet Corps (VCC) is a Ministry of Defence-sponsored youth organisation and proud part of the Royal Navy’s Cadet Forces.
Founded in 1901 to serve the children of sailors and marines, we’ve evolved into a distinctive organisation that empowers young people aged 9-18 through Royal Navy and Royal Marines traditions.
Our mission is clear – to develop young people into confident, dependable members of society by immersing them in the traditions, standards, and values that have shaped Britain’s naval forces for generations.

The running of the VCC depends on the dedication of a group of adult volunteers from every walk of life.
Whether you’re a former service member, a youth leader, or someone who simply wants to give back, there’s a place for you here.
Every single volunteer plays a vital role in our community. Whatever time you can give, we’d love to hear from you.
